Eagles and Fans Celebrate Super Bowl Win with Parade
On Friday, the 2025 Super Bowl Champion Eagles celebrated their championship victory with a parade to the Art Museum steps. According to NBC’s John Clark, over one million people showed up to party with the birds, making for a raucous atmosphere in center city.
It’s always fun to see the city come together for an event like this. The players really seemed to embrace how much their victory meant to the city and seeing the team take the time to get off the buses and interact with so many fans was an awesome experience. It was a great time had by all and will long be etched into the hearts of Philly sports fans everywhere.
Update on Flyers at 4 Nations
This week marks the last week of the NHL’s 4 Nation’s tournament. On Wednesday, Flyers’ Travis Konecny logged just 10:20 of TOI and posted a minus 2 rating in Canada’s 3-2 overtime win over Sweden. He did not play against team USA on Saturday, but Travis Sanheim did. Sanheim played 15:14 in the Canadians 3-1 loss and was a minus one.
Goaltender Sam Ersson has not suited up for team Sweden, while Rasmus Ristolanien has sat out the tournament due to injury for Finland.
The Flyers will return to action on Saturday, February 22nd, against the Edmonton Oilers.
Union to Sign Bruno Damiani of Club Nacional
According to Jose Nunez, the Union are in advance stages of signing Bruno Damiani of Club Nacional. The Centre-forward should help bolster some of the Union’s depth in the midfield. Moreover, the 22-year-old Uruguayan is coming off his best professional season yet in Liga AUF Clausura. In 2024, Damiani scored nine goals in 14 appearances with Boston River. Those nine tallies were good for second in the league behind Nicolas Lopez.
