No pun intended, but this could very well be the perfect moniker for our potential No. 3 overall pick: Ace Bailey, the 6’10” forward out of Rutgers.
With the Sixers falling short in the lottery and missing out on the No. 1 pick—which went to Dallas—Cooper Flagg is off the table. That leaves us looking for the next best option to help turn this franchise around and compete, especially when stars like Embiid and George are sidelined due to injuries or load management.
Enter our Ace in the Hole: Ace Bailey.

At 6’10”, Bailey has the prototypical size for a small forward and would slide seamlessly into the starting lineup. He’s already drawing comparisons to Michael Porter Jr.—a stat-sheet stuffer for Denver—and as a Sixers fan, you have every reason to be hopeful that Bailey can match, if not exceed, that potential.
Only time will tell what happens at the 2025 NBA Draft on June 25–26. But one thing is clear:
Daryl Morey, do the right thing. Get us our Ace in the Hole—Ace Bailey.
