Eagles Hire Kellen Moore, Vic Fangio as Coordinators
Shortly after Nick Sirianni and Howie Rosman addressed the media earlier this week, news broke this week that Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio were will be the new Eagles Coordinators. Moore, 35, had stops previously with the Cowboys and Chargers. Fangio, on the other hand, has been a defensive coordinator with Carolina, Indianapolis, Houston, San Francisco, Chicago, and most recently, Miami.
The Eagles hope both men can bring a set of brand new ideas and perspective to a team that stumbled to the finishline in 2023.
Now we wait to see what kind of changes come to the roster.
After Winning Six in a Row, Sixers Fall to Pacers, Nuggets
The Sixers couldn’t push their winning streak to seven Thursday after losing to the new-look Pacers. Pascal Siakam registered a triple-double with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Myles Turner added 20 points and nine rebounds of his own.
On Saturday, the Sixers were without Embiid, Maxey, Harris and Melton. According to ClutchPoints, the last time Joel Embiid played the Nuggets in Denver was on November 8th, 2019. The big man heard it from the Denver faithful, but the Sixers aren’t in the business of placating the Nuggets fans. Embiid’s health is paramount, and the Sixers will need him fully healthy come playoff time.
Flyers Losing Streak Hits Five
After a quick trip to Detroit, the Flyers returned home to fzce-off with the Eastern Conference leading Boston Bruins. Despite two goals from Tyson Foerster and launching 37 shots on goal, the Flyers were completely outgunned by a superior Bruins team.
Philly now heads out to a week-long break and honestly, it’s coming at a perfect time. With the recent news regarding Carter Hart, frequent lineups featuring just 11 forwards and seven defensemen, and the overall quality of competition improving, gravity ma pulling the Flyers back down to earth.
The team is still comfortably in a playoff spot, but that could change in a hurry with a gauntlet of quality teams awaiting Philadelphia after the break.
